This is a plain-English summary of how Cooker handles your data. Questions? Email hello@cookerco.com.

What we collect

Your account details (email, username, avatar), the recipes you save or import, your ratings, comments, cook logs, meal plans, and any grocery receipts you upload. Recipes you mark public are visible to everyone; private recipes are visible only to you.

How we use it

To run the product: turning links and videos into recipes, estimating nutrition and cost, planning meals, and powering the social feed. Imported content is processed by AI services (such as Anthropic and Groq) to extract the recipe — the content you import is sent to those providers for that purpose only.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t show third-party ads. Receipt uploads are used to compute your own cost insights and anonymised price signals — never to profile you for advertisers.

Where it lives

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database and file storage, Vercel and Fly.io for hosting). They process it on our behalf under their own security terms.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your recipes and receipts at any time. To delete your account and its data, email us and we’ll take care of it.
